Our Mission

Support underserved and low-income individuals (focusing on women) to empower themselves by starting very small businesses and helping them come out of poverty at times of crisis.

What We Do

Providing personal microloans with no interest, no fees and with no collateral, especially for women to start their small businesses and exiting poverty.

Educating small business entrepreneurs especially women (Including but not limited to develop business plans, marketing and financial forecasts).

Education loans are provided to individuals to ensure that the educational requirements of their children are met.

Helping people who fell into poverty due to job loss or unpredictable income by providing short-term interest free loans to put towards any emergency bills, meeting household basic needs, housing or any other unexpected expenses. These small interest free loans will help them to quickly come out of poverty and rebuild themselves.

Providing employment opportunities by connecting individuals with potential employers including providing skills development training and access to resources (such as access to transportation for reaching work places).

How it Works

Sharing Blessings provides interest free micro-loans to underserved individuals who don’t have access to traditional financial institutions such as banks.

These microloans are

  • Interest-free with no fees
  • Personal loans with no collaterals
  • Micro loans range from $1000 to $6000
  • Require full repayment of principal amount only
  • May have a repayment term of up to two years with no pressure
  • Disburse small loans quickly under urgent emergency scenarios
  • Loans can be used for any of the activities as stated in our mission.

Microloans aim to provide enough money to make a difference to an individual’s life by providing them a sustainable way to grow their income and become self-sufficient.

Repayment of Loan and recycling the funding for future loans

Individuals will be required to repay only the principal amount. There will be minimal follow-up or any pressure to pay these loans on time. The repayment expectation is completely on trust. Individuals will commit to the small, regular repayments so that they can get a further loan and feel a sense of fulfillment that their paid back money is helping other people.

Follow up of these individuals will be primarily for the assessment and study of the level of impact created by the program.

When he/she pays back the loan within a year or two, the money can be cycled to more borrowers and getting more families to become self-sufficient for the future.
